[SUPPORT] What Did You Buy This Week?

I'll admit a lot of this isn't metal, but hopefully that's not a problem.

Final Conflict - Ashes to Ashes (raging hardcore punk. Super fast and tight, with a metallic edge. Just what you want from the genre).

Bathory - The Return (Wow, I'm a bit late to listening to the early stuff but this blew me away, seems to be overlooked compared to other 80s albums. Such a unique sound, dark as anything from that time. I love the atmosphere and the subtle changes in the riff patterns. Innovative stuff and probably one of my favourite albums I've heard from them. The album artwork is great too).

Crumbsuckers - Life of Dreams (under-rated, unique thrash/crossover album with brilliant guitar playing and loads of fast-slow-fast-slow tempos which make it impossible to not shake your head to. Not my favourite vocalist in the subgenre but the riffs/drums and beats are damn infectious)

Bedemon - Child of Darkness (pre-Pentagram demos. Terrible artwork and frustrating lo-fi quality but as always with these guys the music/vocals/songwriting is outstanding. Bobby Leibling is one of the best vocalists in metal I swear).

Mercyful Fate - Melissa (Already heard it many times but I finally own it - really hard to trace this album down for some reason. Don't Break the Oath still just about wins out for me, but this is close. NEED to see KD live).

The Wipers - The Herd (Latter era, almost as good as their first three perfect, masterpiece albums. Really dark and moody with great production/guitar tone - may appeal to metalheads),

Tame Impala - Currents (Missed the hype train, oddly the name put me off, but I've finally given this band a shot. Pretty dancey/synthy but I'm liking it a lot, great melodies/production and bass lines galore. Obviously a talented musician).

Stephen Malkmus - S/t, Pig Lib and Face the Truth. I got these three albums for next to nothing. Weirdly I've never been able to fully get into Pavement but I'm liking his solo stuff more, just great songwriting/guitar playing, although there's a few dud songs on each album.

Sonic Youth - Murray Street. Got this in a bargain bin, another attempt to get into this band, something about this band is preventing me from truly "getting" them. It's strange because on paper I should really like them, hmm.
