Supreme Court Refuses to Block Ban on Bump Stocks

I'm surprised that the Supreme Court is actually disobeying him as much as it is given that he's put 2 or 3 of them there

Every justice sitting on the Supreme Court is going to exercise their independent judgment on the cases before them.

Reddit has this strange idea that justices have some kind of personal loyalty to the president who appoints them. They don’t, they are lifetime appointees on an equal branch of government, and Supreme Court appointees often rule against the President who appointed them. Heck, there’s a good chance President Trump’s appointees don’t even like him—they are the old-school, Federalist Society type of Republican. They likely voted against Trump in the primaries, and they probably dislike many of his policies. Trump picked them off the Federalist Society’s list, composed of some of the top federal judges in the country, these aren’t political cronies/
