Yeah, it's definitely a problem how a culture of racism and bigotry is flourishing in the left when any lack of tolerance by the left is reserved solely for people who want to trample the rights of others.
There's a lot said about the religious intolerance of the left as well. For obvious reasons, though, what complainants about this leave out is the intolerance of people's beliefs religious or otherwise only applies to people who want to impose their beliefs on others.

Your religion doesn't tolerate gay people or condone marriage equality? That's okay. If you don't want to be gay - not that it's a choice - or get gay married then don't. Just don't discriminate against LGBTIQ people or treat them as less equal.

If you believe abortion is bad and black people are subhuman; again, that's not a problem. You can believe that if you want. You're free to practice it by not having an abortion and staying the fuck away from black people.

However, try to stop other people from having an abortion or discriminate against black people in any way and you best believe people will not tolerate your shit. There are even laws against it so it's not just an 'intolerant left' position.

So yes, there is an intolerance on the left for people who would do harm to others. People on the left aren't saying you can't be a racist, homophobic bigot with xenophobia issues. We're just saying don't take your shit out on other people.
