If you think about it in terms of genetics, the western europeans just happened to live in a particular location that allowed them to develop those features.

Think about it this way, we are simply adopting certain preferable features that we see in other races and incorporating to our own.

Its like when samsung competes with western companies, they take good ideas from the west and incorporates the good ideas into their products and improve upon it.

Besides, those surgeries don't really make them look white. It instead makes them look better (in most cases) in their own way.
