As surgical wait lists grow, Canada's private clinics cash in - Surgeries scheduled within weeks with price tags over $20K prompt concerns over 2-tiered health care

Looooool where are all you silly Americans PRAISING Canadian healthcare as the best thing ever???

I always get into these arguments on Reddit that wait times are outrageous in Canada.

I'm American and my girlfriend is from Quebec. She LITERALLY works for the healthcare system in managing appointments across the province. And she always tells me how bad shit is, and most people get appointments several months out at LEAST. Some even a year.

For priority cases, she actually has sent patients to a far away location so they could actually be seen. One recent one she had she sent 4 hour drive away.

That's for EVERYONE. UNLESS you have private insurance which enabled you to see private practices.

So whenever clueless fucking Americans argue with me about how PERFECT the Canadian system is... U have no idea what youre talking about. They have their own problems (big ones)
