Because the more income you have the easier school can be for you. You have access to paid tutoring, AP/Dual enrollment, SAT/ACT prep, better highschool to attend, if you’re more affluent it means your parents most likely have better connections than not, less needs to worry about things such as rent, food, and other bills.

You really expect a lower income individual to perform on the same level as someone who doesn’t have to worry about their finances and all the perks of having money?
