Surrendering at 15 minutes IF all 5 players agree

No, /r/leagueofmeta is not a prisoner's island

Of course it isn't,

bringing no discussion

To imply that the thread we are in isn't discussion because it's about a topic that you're tired of seeing is completely disingenuous.

My vote has the exact same weight as the dude's that has never been here before

Which is why reposts (which are not the same thing as shitposts, mind you, though you're trying to conflate them) can and do get voted to the top of the subreddit, because you are not everyone in the subreddit and whether or not you have seen a topic being discussed has no bearing on whether or not everyone else in the subreddit wants to discuss said topic. If discussions about 15 minute surrenders, just to take an example, were as hated by the entire subreddit as they are by you/the mods, they would be downvoted to oblivion. I'm talking about sheer numbers and democracy, here.

won't cause the subreddit to fall to /r/gaming levels of shitposting

You're conflating "shitposting" and "reposting" again. I repeat, my argument is that mods deciding that a perfectly legitimate discussion topic to be "out of bounds" because it has been brought up and upvoted enough times that they are annoyed of seeing it. That's not shitposting, it's not low effort content, and it's not magically irrelevent to the subreddit because it is a sentiment that has been shared and agreed upon even if we have to see the same thread be at the top of the subreddit once a week for a few hours.

shitposts... bringing absolutely nothing to the discussion other than the same memes all over... bronze surrenders, open mid

You're calling reposted threads espousing sentiments that you disagree with "shitposts" because it's a convenient demonization of those sentiments that you feel you can dismiss out-of-hand.
