I survived Wilderness Therapy twice. Barely.

10plus year Graduate of Wilderness Therapy and TBS. Learning how to sit with feedback and self reflect on my actions has helped me out immensely in my life. Yes these programs can be super traumatizing if you focus on the bad but for me I feel like I got a leg up on society emotionally. I work/interact with many people in their 30s who have no idea how to handle feedback or unfair situations. Yes I still drink and smoke weed. Yes I did drop out of college.
In many measures one could say I am a failure but I know the emotional skills these programs taught me have allowed me to easily navigate management positions in a grocery store for the past 10 years. Don’t get caught in the “poor me” loop. Create your own reality.
