Survivor and the LGBTQ Community

Id say he's getting downvoted for implying that having an "over representation" of gay people on survivor is hurting the show.

I'm not implying anything, I actually explicitly asserted this, amongst other things.

Plus hes complaining about 3 gay people being on an All-stars season where contestants are chosen because of popularity and what they were able to achieve on their past seasons, not just cast archetypes.

I'm sorry what did Varner accomplish exactly? Zeke? Tai is honestly the most impressive and even still, he I wouldn't exactly call him a game changer.

Further, popularity is only 1 factor production considers when casting a player.

Plus, imo, the guys being a bit hypocritical with saying Survivor is "checking the boxes" by casting gay men, but is also saying Survivor should meet quotas so the cast can "accurately represent" the American public.

I never said any of this. What I said was, if only 5% of the American population is gay, it would follow that if Survivor were interested in proportionately representing american society, at most only 1 cast member out of 20 will be gay.

Further, I expounded upon my argument by stating that the earlier seasons tend to have casts that come pretty damn close to be proportionately representative of America, and that the later seasons are significantly more disproportionate.

Then, I took it another step and said that I think the earlier seasons are better than the later seasons and that I think there is a correlation.

Whatever though, lots of people taking my posts really personally for one reason or another
