Suspect arrested after child thrown from 3rd-floor balcony at Mall of America, police say

Last year I was living with my wife and 3 children on an acreage in the country and as we were all outside enjoying a beautiful evening our neighbors from the other side of the highway came hauling ass up our lane. It was the mother of the family and she was frantic. She jumped out of her car and yelled with a shakey voice "Have any of you seen Jacob?" (Their 4 year old son). I ran up to her and told her we hadn't and she hurriedly jumped back in her car explaining that he had been missing for 45 minutes and they had looked everywhere. I immediately jumped in my car to head to their property. As I got out and ran up to their house I heard Jacob's father yelling desperately for Jacob. Jacob enjoyed hide and seek and all that his father could think to yell was "Jacob! You have won buddy please come out from your hiding spot!". I immediately noticed the look on the father's face. It was the look of someone that was beginning to come to the realization that their little boy is either lost in the tall corn field surrounding their property or maybe wandered into the busy highway or possibly fell into the pond and couldn't get himself out. I walked their land yelling for him for about 10 minutes before the father came to get me in a gator. He was tearful and told me they found Jake hiding in the basement closet. He wouldn't come out because he was playing hide and seek. I hugged the dad and as I got back to my family all I wanted to do was embrace my littles and tell them I loved them. It was a terrifying experience even for me as a 3rd party to everything happening but I'm relieved they found that little shit and I'm sure he received some life lessons that night before bed.
