Swedish crime wave?

Police get too few resources and are therefore quitting in droves. They also feel that the pay is low and the workload too high.

Violence against police has been increasing over the past few years. Usually its youth throwing stones whenever they enter their neighbourhood. Recently our cities have been hit by waves of car burnings.

So yes we have our problems, but at the same time we are still a very safe country. Those who overexaggerate just distract from proper discussion about the real issues we have.

The issues that /r/europe and outsiders often see is basically that inequality and the number of areas which are commonly called Utanförskapsområden (roughly translates to excluded areas) has increased rapidly over the past decade. Don't use the word no-go zones because that implies a ton of things which aren't true. These are areas with higher than average crime, youth feeling disenfranchised and often the areas where ISIS gets most of its Swedish soldiers.

Also, the Express is probably the worst paper in Britain. Don't bother reading anything from it.
