Switching from Android to iPhone. What can I expect?

Here is my point of view for you.

I was a happy iphone user but switched carriers and decided to save money and get an android. Lg G4 was on sale, so I got it.

For the first few days I loved it. The customization was great. Putting my icons where i wanted, changing the icon packs, all that kind of stuff.

But then I began to realize a few things:

First, the battery life was noticeably worse. Google Services just sucked my battery dry.

Second, app quality was much lower. I have kids, they play tons of crappy games. The crappy games I got on android were advertisement dumpsters. Pop ups, drop downs, every kind of ad possible got thrown at them, to the point that they couldn't even play the games because they didn't have the know how to work through the ads. On ios those same type of crappy games have ads, but they aren't as intrusive. They aren't overwhelming.

Third, ios ran smoother. The phone felt nicer, the apps opened quicker, there was no lag.

Then a couple of days ago I read an article about Marshmallow adoption, and how only 1% (1 freaking percent) of android devices have the latest update. It boggled my mind. I sure didn't have it yet, and there was no date as to when I might.

Then, yesterday I read an article about how Google just booted the Samsung ad blocker out of the Google Play store. It didn't impact me because I had an LG, but it was just a warning sign, and it was the straw that broke the back.

I returned my phone and got a new iPhone. And I miss my customization, but I sure do love how it feels a hell of a lot more, and I feel very secure knowing it will updated and retain value, and I can trust the stuff in the app store.

Just my two cents.
