Switching from PT to FT? Advice?

I don't mean to be harsh but if you're only working 20-25 hours I don't see how this could be necessary. I'm in a p/t program and my entire class works a full time 40 hour/ week job except one guy who just got laid off and is job hunting. Multiple people work full time and are also members of the National Guard, to pay for school. If you're overwhelmed, you're only a few weeks into your first semester, so I'd give yourself some time to find your rhythm - maybe you just need to adjust your study routine.

As a 33 year old I also think you should consider how much leaving the workforce will affect your future career options - if you're banking on your current network to help you find a job taking yourself out of the game is going to hurt you.

Also I can't imagine you'd keep that scholarship if you switched.

I know a few people who are ahead of me in my program who went down to part time work, and on top of their 3 classes for the evening program also took on 2 day classes to graduate early. But I don't know of anyone actually quitting their job to do so.

Also one last thing...my school won't let you switch from part time to day unless you've finished a year of school and have a 3.0.
