Also to note for those that are curious, not sure if it’s same for SAT divers, but it’s standard for scuba tanks on regular dives to have two mouth pieces/hoses coming from the diving regulator (apparatus that connects to the tanks and delivers air to your BCU, mouth pieces, and gauges). This is Incase your current mouth piece fails and you have to fall to a backup, or if your dive buddy runs out of air while on a dive, you can offer your 2nd mouth piece and both be able to operate off the same tank while you slowly ascend to the surface.

So if the sword fish pierced the main hose to his mouth piece on his bail bottle, he most likely has a second mouth piece with its own hose. (Unless it pierced both at the same time obviously)
