Sydney siege: The final minutes of the Lindt Cafe hostage situation

Just watched the second part of the siege on four corners. Absolutely gut wrenching and so poorly handled. Imagine you are told your son was laying there for 10 minutes with a shotgun to his head but no ones going to do anything until he gets shot.

Imagine being told they tried to call the negotiator 4 fucking times but it just rang out.

Imagine being told the fucking army wanted to go in but the police commissioner said "nah, let's wait for someone to die".

Imagine being told monis shot at other hostages, and also shot just over the head of your son and they still said "let's wait" while he has a shotgun to the back of his head.

Imagine being told the police shot and killed your daughter after seeing her as a hostage on tv and being brave for over 12 hours while police did sweet fuck all.

Imagine having to wait til 5am to be told your daughter who was killed by a police officer had actually died at 2.30am.

Imagine then being lied to about it.

Imagine seeing the keystone cops throwing flash bangs in to a foyer and then failing to do anything other than stand there and fix their goggles while it was all going on, then enter the room once the shooting has finished like complete retards.

This really is a disgrace how badly it was handled .
