Sysadmins of reddit: what should I do as your HR Manager

Basically the key is to improve your workers health and lifestyle, while maximizing your companies profit.

It's always important, IMO, to be consistent. And you must discipline people. It will create a bad work environment for people. You want every employee to know exactly what to expect. That everyone is treated the same. And always follow the law.

Make deals with a hotel provider getting your employees discounts, maybe even at a Swankey local joint to show off for their spouses. A company outing, with food, at a park or theme park is great. A zip line, all that stuff.

Then get great health insurance. Dental and mental health. Try to get them the best offer available. Health insurance is an extreme incentive.

Offer life insurance through the job. With alot of workers comes alot of bargaining power. You don't want family to be out of house and home because you guys diddnt offer a decent plan.

Offer company stock, if an option, good bonuses, and retirement plans.

Offer cafeteria food that is healthy as a reduced price.

Free coffee. It's cheap and it boosts output.
