lol you must be a troll at this point, having one distant hungarian ancestor from 100+ years ago, not living or paying taxes in the country makes it basically impossible to get the citizenship even under the Orban-regime. I have friends from Romania and Slovakia both parents are from Hungarian descent and in both cases it took them more than a year to get duel-citizenship. Both of them are native Hungarian (Slovakian-Hungarian friend can’t even speak Slovakian) and both of them worked in Hungary aka they’re tax payers.

On the great grandmother part: even in Israel they would decline you with a jew great grandparent.

You’ll have better luck with moving to Portugal and applying to the citizenship there after 5 years.
