MSU doesn't really have the same type of system as Western. Most of the student tailgates will take place at frat houses and houses north of Grand River Ave. This is the rowdy tailgating. There typically isn't some huge student tailgate place were a ton of people gather.

Alumni and older fans typically occupy the MSU parking lots. Basically all of them will be full with the chill tailgating. I've tailgated at Ramp 7, in front of the Breslin, Ramp 6, lots 40, 41, 67, and 62. Those will all be very busy.

Family tailgate is on Munn Field. I think they don't allow alcohol there, but I could be wrong.
