Maybe I’m just being judgmental but I also think it can be... pretentious? to go out of your way to dress so formally in a setting like that where it’s all mostly students who just put whatever they had ready to wear with them at their dorms. Like, collared dress shirts and khaki pants, maybe even some nice leathered shoes. But a blazer, with a tie and formal pinstriped trousers? That’s a little specific but I’ve actually seen examples like it around many times and it rubs me the wrong way. I don’t think people should dress like complete slobs either though.

But to each their own and I certainly wouldn’t seriously hold what a person wears against them.
