The Taken King Reveal: Strike the Dreadnaught - Post Discussion

Nothing much in this stream aside from the strike:

Gear

  • Artifacts revealed. They're meant to enhance/encourage your subclass abilities. Ie. Mr. Fruit (Sunbreaker) ran a Titan Artifact that would have a chance of generating an orb from Solar melees on PvE enemies. The other two classes ran similar things (Cozmo running one seeming tailored for Stormcallers, and Claude Jerome running one for Nighstalkers). They were all Discipline / Strength, rare, and requiring level 30.
    • Hunter Artifact "Neural Bezoar" (200 Defense, +20 Dis/+44 Str): "Don't eat that!" "...Too late."
    • Warlock Artifact "Techeun Bangle" (200 Defense, +25 Dis/+41 Str): "An approximation of the glittering augments worn by the Queen of the Awoken's advisors."
  • Blue engrams no longer listed as "Decoherent Engram," now just "Encrypted Engram." For some reason, when Mr. Fruit picked one up it was encrpyted, but someone else picks one up later on and it automatically decrypts. Perhaps there's a level for the Cryptarch where this happens automatically like with greens now?
  • Boss specific rewards were mentioned.

Weapons

  • Dauphin RS/1, uncommon rocket.
  • Shinigami SR1, uncommon Omolon primary (appears to be either a scout or PR).
  • Planetary CSc, uncommon machine gun.
  • Phenomena CSm, rare machine gun.
  • Mr. Fruit wielded a sword that had similar animations to the ones we know and love. His perspective was not seen though, nor was the name or stats of the weapon.

Strike

  • Shield Brothers strike starts at Level 36. It appears you can actually pick difficulties for the default strike without going into a playlist.

    Shield Brothers

  • Psion Burners, all-red solar Psions.

  • Completion awarded 20 Vanguard rep (didn't check experience gain).
