Taking Marienburg as Bretonnia - Thoughts on a 'Success'

You can destroy the towers or a wall with trebs. The trick is that defensive towers have a long but very narrow field of fire. Hold space to see it marked on the ground. Then just set up your trebs to the side, so they fire diagonally instead of directly at the towers.

Leave your foot soldiers in the trees, so they're hidden and can't be shot while the trebs do their work.

Breaking open a wall segment lets you bring your cavalry into the city without having to capture the gate. But beware the enemy bottlenecking at the breech, enough spearmen will kill even grail knights. I recommend completely emptying your bowmen's ammo at the defenders before rushing the breech.

You can use Pegasus knights to hunt crossbowmen while your archers do their thing, but try to minimise damage to them. They're very useful for rear charging to break up the bottleneck. Once you break through the defenders you can push for the control zone and any remaining defenders will rout/make a last stand at the centre.

I was able to take Marienburg turn 2 on VH with this strategy. The bowmen really are the key, it was using them properly that changed my results from defeat to a close victory.
