Taliban Overrun Afghan Base, Capture Troops as US, NATO Forces Exit

The US has deals with something like 165 countries to protect them militarily. This is why some poorer countries don't even attempt to muster any military themselves, leaves more money for their economy... which still don't do great. We're a piece of shit world power but a world power nonetheless.

Here's an interesting thing fairly related: Costa Rican people make an average yearly salary something like $6000USD but CR coffee farms hire Nicaraguans to work the farms because they work for far, far cheaper than Costa Ricans do. Costa Rica has no military, Nicaragua has a military and they built a base on the border to flex on CR.

Looking for the list, I found this US State Dept. document that lists all treaties with all countries in effect. It's not nearly the concise list that I was looking for but damn its interesting. Lots of business.
