Taliban Try Flying Chopper Left Behind By US, Crash It; 3 Killed

I've been an airplane maintainer for 12 years. The more I understand about airplanes, the less I understand about airplanes. It's essentially a building that's full of people and combustible juice that just decides to roll away and give a phat middle finger to gravity.

Even the little ones are the philosophical equivalent of a car just hurling itself into the air because you strapped a trampoline on top and made a couple sticks on the front spin around really fast.

I trust airplanes. I know they work and I know how they work. You're safer 30,000 feet in the air than you are driving down the street to get groceries.

But you will never convince me it's not all pure fucking magic in between.
