We talk shop about what exactly?

I realize that playing a role to get attention is a narcissistic attempt to cope. It's better to be who you are and get less attention, hopefully attention that is offered freely instead of elicited out of pity or to make the narcissist shut up.

What if who I really am in a plot twist a psychopathic narcissist?

I mean, that's what you have to be to truly play the game? Roleplay? A good actor is a psychopathic narcissist. Ask your Mother. Your Father. Kevin Spacy. A Reddit shitposter (a writer) claiming that their work is true to life (autobiographical) that occasional role plays as a "Doctor" and wears a fancy costume for their pantomime.

Applaauhhse, please.

I'd imagine your job as a psychopathic narcissist is to teach people how to be at peace with this comedic drama. Hold up a mirror and if you can't convince them to get over stage fright (anxiety) or lack of role (depression) tell them that it's ok, the real them is just not-narcissistic. The real them? Is a terrifyingly insignifigant event, that's so meaningless that it's beyond good and evil. Congratulations.

I'm sure the relationships are much better. This is not sarcasm, this is sincere agreement. Whatever that means.

Freely-elicited attention is sustainable and doesn't make everyone around you hate you.

Freely-elicited attention with hatred is still sustainable, just far more a challenge to not go supernova and implode.
