I talked to my sister about what she thought about the bachelor finale yesterday

I don’t think she faked all that much. I think the day of, she played along. She was not heartbroken. She seemed more upset about the rejection than anything else. I don’t think in that moment she was thinking, “Sweet, I’ll be the lead.”

I do believe that the day after she set her sights on the lead role or was told to expect the lead role offer and she started to wrap her head around that. I think she played along with the heartbroken story line afterwards and will continue to play along with it in her season.

I don’t think Arie orchestrated all of this to make her the bachelorette. I do think that was one piece of his plan. I think he wanted to do something controversial and be a memorable Bachelor from very early on. He knew that this action would accomplish that goal and reward the person that had to get screwed the most. Effectively negating that offense in his mind. I mean, I’ve dated people that I really didn’t like for selfish reasons, then had to dump them. If I could have had a prepackaged soulmate for them after my dumping, I’d love that option. Everyone wins is a great outcome. And not only that, but he is now so closely tied to people’s minds to Becca that he now solidifies himself another season of being relevant as everyone will look for his reactions to her season as a “haha, she’s actually happy, screw you Arie”.
