Tallest Man On Earth - Sagres

There is a short interview with him on a Swedish radio station found here. Somebody from his fan website ImpossibleTrees.com translated it. Here is a transcript of the text:

K:The title is actually really cryptic and I don't really know if I can talk about what it's about. Without talking about this too much; it's a very personal record and there's a lot of things that happened in my own private life. You can listen to the record and hear what it's about. Interviewer: It's therapy... K: Yeah exactly, I simply got to go nuts in the studio out in Gagnef. I had a lot of things I needed to let out, and for the first time I had time to record, and I had American technicians who came here to my studio so I didn't have to worry about any of that. [Which was pure luxury as he adds later, there was a microphone above him wherever he was] So I could run around in the studio and just play instrument after instrument and simply go crazy. Interviewer: Does this feel like it's a more personal record? K: Yes it does. [Sigh] I've tried to be personal but this time... [Sigh] maybe I've matured or aged. Yeah I'm a little... a little older in a way. And... where to go from here. Interviewer: Everybody gets older. Do you mean it's a process of maturing? K: This time around, I haven't really had a lot of time to think about what this record is going to mean for my carreer, and what kind of songs do I want to play now. Now it's just about... I got to let things out from the bottom, like, from the inside. Interviewer: That makes us curious. K: I listened to records like Paul Simon's Graceland and Fleetwood Mac's Rumours incredibly much, so... divorce records. Interviewer: Theheheheh yeah I understand exactly. So your first single, should we have a listen? How long was it again, 5 minutes? K: Yeah 5:14. Interviewer: It's courageous to release such a long single these days when they all are around 3 minutes. K: There's 3 more single candidates on the record, all about this length. Interviewer: Tell us about the song. K: Yeah this... Sagres. Sagres is a little town or village all the way down in Portugal where the world's end was thought to be way back, where they sailed out to explore what was on the other side of the ocean. Yeah so... kinda like that.
