Just a heads up that it appears they have switched back. I haven’t called to confirm but I got paid at 5pm PST/8pm EST yesterday (Thursday) when normal payday is Friday. A bunch of my coworkers got it too at the same time as me but strangely a friend who opened their account at a branch in Montreal hasn’t seen their money yet.

No clue if it’s a fluke or some sort of variable, but either way it looks like they might be moving back. When I called to complain when this all started they blamed it on some federal payroll system change that affected all banks and yet my BMO account where 20% of my paycheque goes never changed and I continued getting paid at 9pm PST the day before payroll this whole time without the slightest interruption. Granted, that was still technically the day of in EST... who knows, just happy it’s back to the way it was, for now? ¯_(ツ)_/¯
