Gee thanks bro but it isn't that simple. People ( especially people with higher incomes ) often spend more on goods they consider more ethical. If higher prices mean less profit, explain Patagonia. or Yeti. or Diamonds. or Whole Foods. High income consumers are increasingly concerned with the ethical impacts their spending choices have. Where price is equal or close, I will always choose the company that officially treats their employees better. Target probably consulted their vast pools of economists and financiers and marketers before making this decision but, sure, a person on the internet with a week one understandong of Economics 101 definitely knows better.
