Targeting 6G, “World’s First” Compact Amplifier IC Breaks 100 GHz

Mostly mmwave cheerleading and endless confusion about where it would be available and its limitations. Maybe one day it'll be viable and I've seen Verizon's hidden map for mmwave.

Phones with the Snapdragon X50 modem could only do mmwave or TDD (mostly n41 and n78) and modem was usually bolted on. But Qualcomm and Verizon only cared about mmwave. And then a year later they and Samsung all go out of their way to make a special Verizon Note 10+ 5G. This one has the X50 when the X55 is already out and in the T-Mobile and AT&T variants. The X55 adds FDD 5G, which is almost every other 5G band. All of the US carriers would benefit from an X55.
