Tax-free billions: Australia's largest companies haven't paid corporate tax in 10 years

I work for a large retailer (In Australia but it is a global corporation). We barely have enough staff to get what we are expected to do done. The only time we are allowed overtime is if people from corporate are coming to essentially get our store looking good which makes the store manager look good.

We have a really high staff turnover, which means staff are poorly trained. This is concerning because we sell food among other things which does not get rotated correctly.

We are constantly told how great our store is after a visit from corporate not because we are a great store with a great team of staff. But because our slave driver boss knows how to squeeze as much out of the demoralised staff as he can to make himself look good so he gets his bonus each year.

Scrooge McDuck would be a good description of our store manager and yes he is quite rich. His bosses are substantially richer.
