Taxpayers federation launching legal action to reveal who stayed in $6,000-per-night hotel suite

On a work trip I had to stay in a hotel overnight in the Netherlands that was around $1500 a night due to how a policy was worded and hotel availability. The government picked up the bill. Nothing nefarious there.

I've also had to pay the government back the difference when I fueled a work truck up with 91% octane gas instead of 87% because of policy. Sometimes policy works in your favor, sometimes it doesn't.

There's no reason to hide who stayed in the hotel room if everything was legitimate.

Canadians need to do a better job at demanding governmental transparency regardless of which political party it is; this is a great case to start with.
