Has Taylor fixed her reputation?

I think she’s improved it a lot, but I also think she cares less than when she was younger. She seems more secure and comfortable in herself, and knowing that her friends, family and fans can see who she really is. Taylor Swift is an artist who is so massively successful and has been for so long that she will continue to be scrutinised and targeted because people will be invested in the judgements — good and (unfortunately, more so) bad. A lot of people will still want her to screw up because of who she seems to be, if we even put the Kimye event aside and look at before and after.

Releasing the Rep tour on Netflix was a great move imo. Fans obviously loved it, but it and she got so much positive publicity from media and social media for that — performance-wise and personality—wise. I’m expecting this era to be a lot more public than Rep, and we are seeing a big change already. She seems to be focused on controlling that and it’s obvious why, and I think she’ll mostly get positive feedback for it (with some exceptions, mostly the publications and people who already dislike her).

This era, I expect (and hope) that people are going to care and focus much more on her music than caring about 2016. I think most people will be over it by now, and if they like the music then they’re on board again.
