Tazz: "They hated me for the most part because I acted that character, the Human Suplex Machine, I would show up to the arena three hours before the show and I was the Human Suplex Machine. I wasn't trying to work anyone, but to portray that character, I had to live that gimmick."

In other words, he took himself a bit too seriously which probably rubbed people in the WWE locker room the wrong way... especially since to pull off his gimmick he really needed all of them to put the effort in to sell him as a badass.

To his credit though, while his WWE run was a complete wash, he did always carry himself with that aura in front of the camera... but it was still WWE, and being a really tough 5'9" guy at that time was only going to get you so far.

But I remember the night he was ECW champion and he challenged Triple H, and right up till HHH basically squashed him, I thought it was awesome and it felt plausible Tazz could go toe to toe with Trips.

I just wish we could go back in time and get ECW's Taz in the WWE, cause can you imagine someone like that feuding with Stone Cold?
