tbh slactivists like myself just sit on ass and kpkb all day so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Prior to the “circuit breaker” I wouldn’t have been one to criticise the government’s response but the speed in which the “new” measures are being implemented have left much to be desired. One very conspicuous omission in our PM’s announcement was the legal restriction on meeting anyone outside of our household at all and yet this was something that was announced relatively silently (statements made in parliament and then repeated by media who were present during parliamentary debates) prior to the commencement of the CB period. One would think that such a wide ranging (legal) restriction would be personally announced by the PM on the same level of gravity as closure of non-essential businesses.

The speed at which legal (mind you, not just “advisories”, but proper stuff that can get you sanctioned in court) restrictions were implemented over the past week suggest that these were at the very least in the ministries’ minds (if not premeditated) when the government decided on the CB (what an unfortunate acronym); so why weren’t these addressed by our PM who could put all doubt out of our minds that this is a serious situation?

I am for one supportive of these measures but the way that these were implemented leaves much to be desired and I can’t help but to feel some sympathy for those who flout the rules (other than those who do so wilfully, of course).
