Teach Me About Femininity

I personally feel there is pressure (whether real or imagined) as a trans woman to be feminine and to like men. At the same time there is the sense that you can't overdo it or you'll be perceived as fake or a caricature. For the first year or so of my transition I down played my femininity and tended towards more androgynous clothing, etc.

In the end though I like dresses and I enjoy looking nice and thus often wear makeup. There's this BS idea in society that masculine is the default and that feminine is lesser but everyone should be free to express themselves as they wish. The problems arise when people try to police the behavior of others.
