Teachers, how can you tell if a student dislikes you?

I’m really surprised but like this response a lot, it takes a lot to take a lesson in humility. I was set up to finish undergrad in 3 years and tested after 2 years with scores to get into a top 12 Law school. I let it go to my head and graduated undergrad after 5 and a half years because I thought I didn’t even have to do the basic work until I started failing and lost a lot of scholarship money.

I really learned that regardless of your talents (mine has been in social sciences, specifically political science) you can’t constantly just coast. Yeah, some people end up getting away with it but there are a thousand dropouts for every lazy ass (like I was) to actually get just a Bachelor’s without getting their shit together. I hope that I wasn’t too harsh, I just don’t like to see people making the same mistakes that I did just to preserve their egos.
