Teachers of Reddit, what are some positive trends you have noticed in today's youth?

Honestly I feel like most of these teachers are projecting.

This! I understand this is a "what are some positive trends" post, but most of the comments don't seem very rooted in reality. I think most of the teachers are forgetting, students are generally at there best when they are around you. What they are observing is how the kids would like to be perceived and how they act around adults, not how they actually are behind closed doors or when authority figures aren't around. They remind me of managers who think the employee who kisses the most ass is the best employee, no they just act that way when you're around...

They really get each other. As much as they diss on each other, joke around, and yes, get to the point of blows, they can usually put issues aside. Sometimes to a fault, but overall they are pretty understanding of each other.

This is the second most upvoted comment, I'm oldish and this is how most everyone under 50 interacts... People have created a circle jerk of positive reinforcement here...
