Team Vitality vs Astralis / IEM Global Challenge 2020 - Group A Decider Match / Post-Match Discussion

Back in mid 2020, a number of teams were voicing out against the outrageous number of events they have to attend. Glaive and Xyp9x took extended medical breaks due to burnout, forcing Astralis to explore an alternative, immediate solution.

The team initially signed Jugi as their 6th man and loaned Snappi from Heroic. The results were less than desirable (partly because Magisk only started IGLing). The two players were dropped, in favor of e3etag and bubzjki. The new lineup actually looked very promising for a moment. The scene was speculating how this would turn out:
1. Will TOs allow teams to swap out players mid event/series/map?
2. Will the core players be dropped if they couldn't outperform their new teammates?
3. What is Valve's stance on the matter?

Anyway, ESL was the first TO that allowed player switches between series, on an 8-hour notice. With Glaive's return, there wasn't enough room for the one of the new members. Bubzjki failed to impress and was swapped for e3etag. Astralis went on to play 2 big events with him while benchwarmer bubz tweeted shitposts regularly. e3etag's incredible performance on both events inflated his own value immensely, which was immediately capitalized by the management. They sold him to C9 for a sweet profit. Surprise surprise, Astralis' vision of a 10-man roster is just BS talk.

Vitality is actually the first team that is able to successfully implement the 6-man rotation into their games. Bubz was only incorporate into Ast's game plan since the previous event, BLAST Falls Finals.
