Tech companies should stop pretending AI won’t destroy jobs

Taking care of toddlers at a daycare is more than just watching them. An AI would be great at using facial recognition to check in a child and then only allow release of the child to acceptable adults (there are plenty of complicated relationships that would love this feature). An AI could dynamically track the kids during the day and identify behaviors, needing to use the bathroom, hungry, tired etc. All reducing the amount of thinking the caretaker has to do, now they move from one kid to the next addressing an issue. Their individual care is recorded and can be documented to the parent. It's not about replacing its making one person be able to do the job of three. First it's luxuries like a couple of my examples then those become standard and more and more automation is introduced.
