Can anyone please tell how freesync 1 (one, or G-Sync Compatible ™©) behaves itself in borderless mode on Turing?

On the verge of choosing new GPU for 4K@60, but freesync was atrociously bad in borderless on my Pascal (1070 FE, also got friend's 1053 to test, same) with frame repeating and stutter.

Used Vega64 before and 5700xt which I've returned (faulty cooler and unstable drivers), both were working with Freesync perfectly both in fullscreen and borderless.

So, does getting Turing GPU improves this? Or is it a global driver issue?

Currently looking at 2080/2080s. But, well, if Freesync is working, then okay-ish FPS is 45+, if not -- it's 60+, which is kinda big difference in 4k for a single card.

My monitor: LG UltraFine 27UL500-W
