Tech Support and Question Megathread - September 2021 Edition

Hello, I just bought a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15ARH05 laptop. It has two display adapters: integrated AMD Radeon graphics and a GeForce 1650.

My problem is I can't switch from the integrated display to the GeForce.

  • Advanced display options in settings doesn't give me that choice
  • Opening Nvidia control panel and setting the GeForce as the default display adapter doesn't do anything
  • When I disable the integrated adapter in Device Manager, it reverts to low rez and won't let me open Nvidia control panel, saying I am not connected to it
  • When I open BIOS, I have no way to disable one of the adapters

Is there anything I can do or do I have to return this computer?
