If there's anything MCC11 made me realise, it's that I really enjoy Techno's tournament streams regardless of how well he does. I watched him get 6th last time, and when he burst out laughing after SoT I ended up having a giggle as well.

Techno's commentary style really appeals to me. He's really calm, almost tired-sounding most of the time and genuinely funny, it makes him really easy to listen to. But when it comes time to be high energy he really kicks it into high-gear, and you just know it's because he's really having fun with it.

I think when it comes down to it, most of us enjoy Techno for Techno. His sense of humour, the ridiculous feats he pulls off sometimes just to see if he can do it!

It's just really fun to see your favourite creator win at something big like MCC, regardless of who they are. We're fortunate that Techno is just so skilled that he can regularly pull off top-3 placements, but we shouldn't expect it. I feel like we've been spoiled for wins, started taking it for granted that he'll not only be on one of the top teams but the reason they got there as well.

If all we wanted was to see was crazy good players making it to the finals then HBomb and Pete would pull in the most viewers of anybody in the tournament. Techno is a top player, but he's my favourite because he's really fun to watch and I'm sure that's true of a lot of people here. Maybe we should let him know that sometimes.

I think Techno should play on a "for fun" team for the next tournament he's in if he wants to, something where there's no expectation of him having to dominate the competition and no risk of other players being blamed for "dragging him down".
