Nothing bizarre about Ted "Dogwhistle" Cruz signalling to his (and his abuser Trump's) base that O'Rourke actually believes in justice, even for people of color. We're talking about the crowd that loves "law and order" when it means brown people get curb-stomped.

The Texas and American right has showed its hand. It doesn't give a shit about "small government" or "law and order". It only cares about a rigid social hierarchy in which some folks get something like justice and others are juiced for the good of others.

Beto's channeling the best of American prophetic voices when he stands in front of this congregation and yearns for real justice. Let's hope Texas makes good on its avowed commitments to equality and democracy and justice in November and boots Cruz out of office.
