Teddi Mellencamp has some “concerns” about Shanna Moakler’s boyfriend.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum claimed Matthew Rondeau slid into her DMs on social media to make shady comments about her former “Celebrity Big Brother” housemate Moakler, who is still competing on the CBS show.
“Shanna’s boyfriend, who I didn’t tag in any posts, slid into my DMs,” Mellencamp, 40, alleged on Wednesday’s episode of her and Tamra Judge’s “Two T’s in a Pod” podcast.
“Let’s just say, Shanna, when you get out of the house, if he hasn’t told you anything, you need to call me, girl,” she continued.
“Real Housewives of Orange County” alum Judge, 54, asked Mellencamp to clarify whether she meant that Rondeau, 29, had been hitting on her in her messages, to which she said he wasn’t. The fitness influencer explained that she had made a joke about Moakler, 46, voting her out of the house and Rondeau responded to it in a way that shaded his on-again, off-again girlfriend.
“I said, ‘Oh, Shanna, had I known you were going to vote me out, I wouldn’t have left you my hat.’ Obviously joking. It’s a beanie cap. I don’t care. It’s my bad attempt at humor,” Mellencamp recalled. “But he wrote, ‘You’ll never see that hat again’ and then something negative about her.”
Mellencamp “thought [Rondeau] was joking,” so she responded in a light-hearted way that ultimately flattered Moakler.
“I wrote back, ‘Oh, LOL. It’s not that big of a deal. In the big scheme of things, I couldn’t have made it those 11 days without her friendship,’” the former Bravolebrity said, claiming, “He continued on and on and on.”
The daughter of musician John Mellencamp was ultimately left baffled by the exchange, as she later saw photos of Rondeau browsing engagement rings.
“Now I have a little bit [of] additional concerns for Shanna,” Teddi added.
Page Six broke the news in October 2021 that Moakler and Rondeau had gotten back together after a bitter breakup.
“I admit…at the time.. things were very difficult especially in our personal lives, which made things hard to focus on one another,” the male model wrote in a Notes app message to us, referring to the July interview he gave in which he said he was “happier” than ever without Moakler.
“However, Shanna and I have truly found what we needed more of and what was missing just to focus on the fun in life with one another and not letting anyone or anything take that away from us.”
Moakler was previously married to Travis Barker, with whom she shares son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16. She is also mom to daughter Atiana, 22, with ex Oscar De La Hoya.
