I lost my mother to Fox News. I'm not saying that to be dramatic. Conversation with her about politics, or even just political issues or news, is no longer possible. She's lost to the abyss now, where Mexicans and "dot-heads" (one of her preferred terms) are taking all the jobs. She thinks that Hillary paid a lot of money to start the Mueller investigation. She'll admit that Trump needs to stop tweeting, which I think she feels is a concession, but "at least he's honest" and he's "a good businessman and father".

She also describes herself as a moderate, since "Pelosi and Schumer are socialists". In her defense, she doesn't care if gay people are allowed to get married, as long as they "keep it in private".

Nobody wants to admit it, but we can't fix this country until the baby boomers die off.
