Teenagers are old enough to understand the consequences of their actions and cannot be excused from being responsible for them because "their brain isn't fully developed."

Popular.

Was it the kids in Michigan that killed Kenneth White? As a Michigan resident I think those teenagers got exactly what they deserved and the legal system worked well. 2nd degree murder pleas for the person who threw the rock, and manslaughter pleas for the others. They are old enough to know better, and their goal was to cause damage. The extent of damage they intended or anticipated is irrelevant.

If we were to excuse everyone for poor behavior with a possible excuse no one would be held accountable. Everyone with a drug addiction, shitty parent, crimes committed in groups of 3 or more (herd mentality excuse), satanic dogs that give orders, person who enjoys porn, or just shitty foresight etc. would be excused- and no one would be accountable.
