Tell us about that time you jogged uphill, both ways, with no shoes, in the snow, just to get your workout in.

My city has dockless public bikes that you can unlock using an app. Usually I go for a ride every morning to get some fresh air before I hit the gym, or to get my errands done faster.

Anyway, I usually leave one outside my apartment at night so I can hop on in the morning, but I noticed lately someone had been taking them and not replacing them at night (which is fair enough I suppose, but still pisses me off a bit.) Anyway, this particular morning I looked out my window to see one of my neighbours unlocking it and zooming away!

I ended up having to walk up a very steep hill to where the app’s GPS said there was another one... nope. Searched around for a bit but I guess the GPS was off, or someone had it inside their building. So I go to find the second bike... all the way back downhill and past my house again... up another hill and down to the park... This one I actually found, but because of my missions to get to it I had to cycle up another steep ass hill to get to the post office (usually 5mins cycle on even ground).

Next stop was on the other side of the city, flat for a bit then another hill, then a groovy cycleway (the fun part and the main reason I wanted to cycle that day, but also a slight incline most of the way). At this point I was exhausted from going up and down the steeper hills, but I kept on going.

Being Autumn, just before I reached the cycleway, it began to pour down with rain (It had also been quite windy this whole time). Needless to say when I reached my destination I looked like a drowned rat. And then I had to cycle all the way back. Basically what should have taken me 40 minutes ended up taking double the time, and I got rained on to boot, but at least I got some extra excercise in.
