I replied to your comment because you made it political, about the city council and how people’s concerns were ignored. I spent all last year at community board meetings and Build the Block, hearing a few loud people demand all homeless be removed, as if we had anywhere else to put them. So your reply triggered the exasperation of the entire last year, listening to people demand stop and frisk and demand the police simply banish anyone. It got to the point they were harassing long time residents, simply because they were old and black and sitting on the stoop every day with their friends! This attitude deserves to be fought, hard. If you feel I was too light on the original post, fine, I don’t really care.
