THE EARLY LADARISSIAN EMPIRE
HISTORY Man's First Fight When Mankind was first populating the planet, the Ruimo quickly seized the opportunity for workers and captured the primitive race of man. The Ruimo brutally worked their slaves for hundreds of years, down to near extinction, but as Mankind came back from the brink, the Ruimo gained newfound respect for man. After 300 years of slavery, Man began to flourish. In the following years, the Ruimo taught man art and culture, allowing them to attend schools and work for pay. Man became a prominent addition to the Ruimo City-State of Urouopocal, with many becoming philosophers, mathematicians, and other masters of the Arts. In the year 732, the Ruimo passed a law that gave Mankind equal rights, excepting political offices. Man and Elf lived in peace until 790. In 790, Ruimo racists and radicals killed hundreds of Men over the course of eight years. The Ruimo military intervened, but failed miserably. Enraged by the betrayal of the Ruimo, the Men killed the guards. Many rallied and began looting and burning Ruimo homes. A smith, Agus Itul, led Mankind in the attack. The hordes of Men were met with squadrons of Ruimo soldiers. Though outmatched, the Men outnumbered the Ruimo greatly. Eventually, Mankind took the Outer district of the city under the leadership of Agus. The Rebellion fortified the Outer District as well as they could, but after three months of siege, the Outer Districts fell back under Ruimo Control. They executed the main leaders of the rebellion, including Agus, and the leaderless Men were once again enslaved by the Ruimo in 800, under much less hospitable conditions. For 120 years, Mankind was under the yoke of Ruimo slavery. Then in 920, Hyrve Rumaii was born. Raised as a slave, work made him strong, and with his Hero's Blessing, he was godlike. When Rumaii came of age in 945, he rallied the enslaved Men once more, leading them in Mankind's Second Rebellion. He led troops through every district in the city, capturing them and eliminating all opposition. Rumaii and his men eventually stood at the base of the Grand Palace Gate. Rumaii walked up to the gate, and for the first time in history, used magic. Using a concussive blast, Rumaii shattered the Gates, allowing him and his troops passage. The Ruimo were quickly defeated, and the Imperator of the Ruimo, Fal'Kyus, was slain at the base of his throne. In the year 950, Mankind was finally free.
New Identities After the city of Uruolpolcal had fallen to Mankind, Hyrve Rumaii was crowned the emperor of the new Empire of Man. Deciding to become completely independent of the Ruimo, Emperor Rumaii declared the City-State of Uruolpolcal destroyed, and in its place created the City-State of Ladarissia, or New Spire. The Ladarissians decided that they should no longer just be called Men, and deferred to the Emperor to decide upon a name. After consideration, Emperor Rumaii stated that his people were beautiful, and so he called them Trei, or beautiful. Since the year 950, Man has been known as Treian.
The Old Empire Under the rule of Emperor Rumaii, the Ladirissan empire expanded dramatically. The cities of Syrod, Valurd, Lianorn, and Arkos were all founded in 960. Elysis and Ymreluf were founded in 975. These newly founded cities allowed for conquest of the surrounding area, and allowed the Treians to expand their empire. In the year 1043, the Ladarissian Empire spread from the coast of Anastratea to the edge of the Plains of Tuliteo, covering a total of about 625,000 square miles.

A hereditary monarchy, along with the High Elder Council.
