Well speaking as a guy here. Me and most of my guy friends care less about tidyness and "general theme and appearance of the place" and more just about sanitizing the place and doing general cleananing/upkeep as needed. This has stressed many of my past girlfriends out, seems like my other guy friends have had issues with that too. Girls tend to care more about appearances, not as in your attractiveness but how you present themselves, and not just to them but to everyone. They usually don't want to date the guy that wears nothing but sweatpants and cargo shorts with bro tanks every time he meets their friends and family, you don't necessarily have to have an expensive wardrobe, you just have to know how to look more "presentable" with what you have. Men, especially younger men, tend not to always know/care about this and usually men wouldn't really care that mich if their girlfriend wore nothing but graphic tees and leggings/yoga pants when around other people that matter to them such as friends and family (however likely care around co-workers if you work in a very high end industry where the expectations are to be in luxury clothing and not doing so can hurt your career). The whole putting or not putting the seat down thing. Men tend to not be as good about handling conversations that deal with their emotions, this could be attributed to the whole "men don't cry" mentality that has made it so men lack experience in confronting and discussing their own emotions with other people. What this often translates to for issues in my relationships in the past has been when I'm frustrated with a girlfriend about something sometimes I want to isolate myself and just process my thoughts on my own, compose myself, plan a discussion, and then talk. However the girls usually wanna discuss what's wrong the moment they can tell something is wrong, and if not then for sure the moment it comes up in conversation that something is wrong. Just a short list of stuff, I could definitely name more but I'm baked and already feel like this was a rant as is haha.
